Habitat For Humanity Philippines

For over 30 years of helping the Filipino families live in a decent home, the Habitat for Humanity Philippines builds strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. The organization aims to give every Filipino family a decent place to live by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Homes open doors to new opportunities. The theme is to bring together communities and individuals as partners in building hope and changing lives.

In the Philippines, there are more than 4 million families without a decent place to live, and right now are living in shacks under bridges, in disaster prone communities, in depressed areas or cramped inside a living space only a little bigger than your ordinary bathroom.

The Habitat for Humanity assists these families into homes with safer, more affordable living conditions that may result in an improved health, stronger childhood development, and financial ability for a better future.

With the belief that a safe and decent home uplifts a family’s standard of living, this organization builds more than just four walls and a roof. It builds strong and resilient structures that make home partners feel secure. It gives families a true sense of ownership and pride.

Habitat for Humanity works with government agencies, corporations, non-governmental organizations, and faith based groups to build homes and hope. Since it started in 1988, it has already served more than 140,000 families with decent housing. It helps about 25,000 families annually since 2013.
