Can Mongo Beans Exacerbate Arthritis?

Old folks say you should avoid eating mongo beans, because it can make your arthritis a real pain. Is there some truth to this? I, for sure, is interested to know because beans have low glycemic index and are good for the diabetics, and people with high blood pressures.


Beans are superfood for the diabetics. The American Diabetes Association advises people to eat several meals each week to help them manage their blood sugar levels and diabetes. Beans are a good alternative to meat because of their high protein and fiber content as well as low glycemic index.



The only thing that you should worry about is how much animal based protein you ingest cause meats like pork, beef, lamb, lobster, shrimp, and organ meats can aggravate gout symptoms. One study found that people who ate more animal based protein had a 40% to 50% higher risk of developing gout.
