Mr. Penguin Ice Factory Ice Cream Café Super Cool Desserts In Iligan City

Go for a different style with a different taste – the Ice Factory way! They offer a nice variety of desserts in different styles. If you are thinking about getting yourself a good cold treat, the ice cream selection at the Ice Factory is a good option for a hot day.

Actually, most people, even myself refer the Mr. Penguin Ice Factory as plainly Ice Factory. Putting the Mr. Penguin makes it too long. We Filipinos are fond of shortcuts right.

Second to chocolates, girls are fond of eating ice cream, especially the ones prepared by the Ice Factory. Frozen confections are a delight to my palate!

I must admit my love affair with the ice cream and chocolates has been over 45 years (I am 49 now and next week will be 50, as of this writing July 2017). So, when my niece said that we should go visit the Ice Factory at the Strip, I did not hesitate, after all, ice cream in any form is already fun for me.

An ice cream mixture or dressing can be as simple as fresh fruit, heavy cream, marshmallows, and brownies. I know the recipe is an inspiration and an invitation for fat loading desserts, but my niece and daughter are frantically excited to get their taste of what seems to be the best in town ice cream dessert.

The ice cream craze is unstoppable. We ordered a lot enough for the whole family, including their grandma, who is also excited to take her first bite of their on-the-house specials. The flavors of their ice cream were highly impressive and really gave pretty good experiences.

The place is fast becoming popular, because of its halo halo, ice cream, and other delectable snacks. I would scream and you would scream ice cream! Licking their specials truly offers me the chance to test the boundaries of my taste test and resolve a heightened curiosity of their available flavors and mixes.

The Ice Factory serves desserts and snacks that can help you beat the summer heat. The ice cream tastes better with the way they prepare it. The wacky flavors and tantalizing designs are sure to satisfy the flavor seeking tastebuds.

They serve ice cream, sorbets, parfait, halo halo and other food items at a reasonable price. If you have a sweet tooth, then this is the right place for you. The halo halo ice cream is filled with 10 scoops of mouthwatering creamy delights and sprinkled with delicious marshmallows.

Halo halo is a popular Filipino dessert with mixtures of beans, coconut, sago, gulaman, tubers, fruits, evaporated milk, sweet preserves, kaong, mais, pinipig, leche flan, and shaved ice. Top with ice cream and served in a big glass, it can be a quickfire challenge to the taste of the hodgepodge mix of ingredients.

Their brownies with the ice cream on its top is really cool to eat. That was my first, and I really kind of rage over it. Its rich chocolatey truly delicious brownie is perfect for any flavor of ice cream toppings.

This is what I call a brownie that melts in the mouth, where the brownie looks and feels firm, but the inside feels soft. Fudge square slices of brownie goodness mixed and topped with ice cream is the new craze in town. You can’t just get enough of it.

It was the first time I tasted something like that. I tried to find it here in other ice cream parlor, but nope, their ice cream brownie fudge is the best. I would need two orders to really satisfy my craving.

Talk about summer loving and cold ice cream longings, this brownie fudge taste just too good for me to really look for similar dessert here in Cebu. I guess it is more about how the brownie was cooked rather than the ice cream. They are really hard, yet moist and creamy to the bite.

The café serves different kinds of ice cream dessert that you need to visit the place many times to get a taste of the whole menu. While everyone is fixated on their favorites, I was out there near the workstation looking at the preparation. I got a major sweet tooth issue and the menu just relatively solved the cravings!

The café also offers light meals for those who are hungry, but wants to take both food and dessert there in the ice cream parlor. They offer sandwiches and other light snacks.

Just take a look at their menu. Actually, I do not go there for the meals. I kind of yearn for their ice cream yummy desserts. Their banana split for one is really delicious and I would say uniquely prepared.

The banana is cut in half lengthwise and laid in the dish with 3 scoops of ice cream in different flavor. The taste is classic and embezzled with a yummy chocolatey syrup. I love the taste of banana mixed with the creamy cold texture of the ice cream and the rich flavor of the chocolate drip.

The chocolate dripping down the sides is too good to be true. It gives an intense chocolate flavor of the whole mix without adding any extra weight. Did I say I was feeling heavenly with the cold treat?

Although the service is good, it may be slow because in remote cities, time is not of the essence. The people there are always willing to patiently wait until the food is served on their table.

The ice cream parlor has been doing pretty good considering that it is the only ice cream café in Iligan City. The locals usually bring their whole family when they eat there. The café is can be a good barkada hangout, when you feel like having a cold food trip.

If you visit Iligan City, don’t miss out doing the taste test of all the desserts there. I am sure you would always want to come back for more.

Ask for their latest cool delights. There is always something new on the menu. I was hoping they can set up a branch here in Cebu too.
